Each Lecture is about 45 minutes long and about 175mb, and are in .mov (Quicktime) format. The video was ripped from a rather ancient VHS from a public library, so the video quality is somewhat poor, but still very much worth watching. Also included is a pdf file of all the notes for the lectures that came in a course guidebook with the videos.

Type:Quicktime Movie (.mov)
Video: 640X474

I included original TTC catalogue Course Description, an interview with Rick Roderick from the same catalogue and a passage from an article with a good Rick Roderick story

Nietzsche and the Post-Modern Condition (OOP)
Course No. 417 (8 lectures, 45 minutes/lecture)

Taught by Rick Roderick
National University
Ph.D., University of Texas at Austin

Few intellectuals have ever aroused the passions generated by this 19th century German philosopher and literary scholar. Many-sided, powerful and ambiguous, Nietzsche is reviled as a precursor of German fascism, honored as a visionary prophet of modernism, and interpreted as the harbinger of a disturbing view of human identity which gains added credibility decades after his death. Yet most of us have never had the opportunity to examine his work at length. Now you have the opportunity to study his work with these lectures, which offer a revisionist and bold understanding of the contemporary importance of this philosophical giant whose last years were spent in madness and melancholy.

Nietzsche is widely and correctly regarded as a forerunner to the various postmodern figures such as Derrida and Foucault which dissolve the self into positions within texts, power systems, and discourses. In these lectures, Professor Roderick presents Nietzsche as mythmaker, anti-moralist, artist, and philosopher of power. Arguing that Nietzsche undertook to create a self for himself out of the paradoxes of the human condition, we are invited to join Nietzsche in the search – to “dance with him” – rather than to construct strict arguments, to face the paradoxes and not escape them, in our own attempt to become a self. Roderick examines the challenge of the eternal recurrence, the
strange case of Zarathustra, the attack on morality, and the death of God.

Roderick also positions Nietzsche as example and warning of our postmodern situation. This trajectory leads toward a world of soft technologies, misdirected information, and
chaotic economic and political systems within which we lose our sense of meaning and
purpose and even “forget who or what we are.” The lectures attempt to face squarely the
challenge of the present as anticipated paradigmatically by Nietzsche. The last lecture concerns itself with Nietzsche’s progeny and sets the stage for the Professor Roderick’s third course, The Self Under Siege: Philosophy at the End of the 20th Century.
